Arvind alias Guddan Ramvilas Trivedi, 46, an aide of Dubey, was allegedly involved in the killing of eight policemen during a raid on the slain gangster's house in Kanpur district.
Sadhu Rajbhar, who is the main suspect of the murder case, was the last man to have contacted Hema.
The state government, however, said the transfer was not connected to the raids on hotels at MadhIsland and Aksa beach in which nearly 61 people were arrested and booked for "indecency in public" on August 6.
The Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission has initiated a probe into last week's raids by the Malwani police at hotels and a beach in Mumbai taking suo motu cognisance of the matter.
